Concealed Carry Training
VDS provides concealed carry training services in compliance with applicable state laws in Arizona, Florida, South Carolina, and Texas. However, laws regarding concealed carry permits, firearms ownership, and use vary by state and are subject to change. It is your responsibility to ensure that you understand and comply with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances related to firearms ownership, concealed carry permits, and the use of firearms. Below are state-specific details:

  • Arizona:
Training provided meets the requirements under Arizona Revised Statutes (A.R.S.) § 13-3112 for concealed carry certification, where applicable. Arizona is a constitutional carry state (A.R.S. § 13-3102), meaning individuals 21 or older who are not prohibited from possessing firearms under state or federal law (e.g., A.R.S. § 13-3101) may carry a concealed firearm without a permit. A Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) is optional but may be required for reciprocity with other states or specific locations (e.g., federal buildings). Our training may assist with CWP applications processed by the Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS), but eligibility depends on background checks and compliance with A.R.S. § 13-3112(E).
  • Florida:
Training complies with Florida Statute § 790.06, which governs the issuance of concealed weapon or firearm licenses by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). Applicants must be 21 or older, meet eligibility criteria (e.g., no felony convictions, no domestic violence history per F.S. § 790.06(2)), and demonstrate proficiency through an approved course like ours. Florida does not recognize constitutional carry; a license is required to carry concealed. Our course includes instruction on firearm safety and proficiency as mandated by F.S. § 790.06(2)(h), but issuance depends on FDACS approval.
  • South Carolina:
Training adheres to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) requirements for Concealed Weapon Permits (CWP) under S.C. Code § 23-31-210 et seq. South Carolina requires applicants to be 21 or older, complete an approved training course (including live-fire proficiency per S.C. Code § 23-31-210(4)), and meet eligibility standards (e.g., no disqualifying convictions under S.C. Code § 23-31-205). Constitutional carry was enacted in 2024 (Act No. 111), allowing permitless carry for eligible individuals 21 and older, but a CWP remains necessary for reciprocity or certain restricted areas. Our training satisfies SLED standards, though permit approval rests with SLED.
  • Texas:
Training satisfies the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) standards for a License to Carry (LTC) under Texas Government Code § 411.172 et seq. Applicants must be 21 (or 18 if military/veteran), complete a classroom and range proficiency course (Texas Admin. Code § 6.11), and meet eligibility criteria (e.g., no Class A/B misdemeanor or felony convictions per Texas Penal Code § 46.04). Texas allows constitutional carry for those 21 and older under H.B. 1927 (2021), but an LTC is required for reciprocity or campus carry (Texas Gov’t Code § 411.2031). Our course meets DPS requirements, but issuance is subject to DPS review.

No Guarantee of Permit Issuance
Completion of our concealed carry training courses does not guarantee the issuance of a concealed carry permit in Arizona, Florida, South Carolina, or Texas. Permit issuance is subject to the discretion of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, or Texas Department of Public Safety, respectively, and depends on your eligibility under state and federal law, including background checks and other statutory requirements.

Liability Limitation
VDS operated by TVL, its instructors, affiliates, and employees are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this website, our training services, or your actions following the completion of our courses. Firearms Safety
Firearms training involves inherent risks. VDS emphasizes safety in all courses, adhering to state-specific standards (e.g., Arizona’s A.R.S. § 13-3112(G), Florida’s F.S. § 790.06(2)(h), South Carolina’s S.C. Code § 23-31-210(4)(a), and Texas’s Gov’t Code § 411.188). However, you are responsible for following all safety protocols and exercising sound judgment during and after training. We are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, or damages resulting from the handling or use of firearms.
